As you can see, our friends won't let EP give up his "Rubbermade" title. I have got to get that tiara at least dipped in rubber. lol.

On Friday, November 30th, some friends organized a little victory party for me at the Cocktail Bar here in Montreal. It was a lot of fun. I am posting some pictures of the event here on the blog.

Mr. International Rubber 2008

Welcome to the Mr. International Rubber Blog! For several years we have been looking at ways to provide more real time support and communication from the current MIR and to share that with the MIRubber.com readers and regulars.

The MIR Blog is a test run at allowing MIR2008 Brian Turgeon to blog about his experiences and adventures as MIR2008 and to post his rubber musings and thoughts. We hope you, and he, will find this a good experience and helpful in getting to know more about Brian and his travels.

My goal, as weekend coordinator, will be to lay low and let Brian do his thing.

The Fetish Store here in Montreal is having another fun Addiction party this Friday night at Station C. Rubbermade and I will be attending. It should be a lot of fun.

MIR2008

MIR2008 is now in the history books. Five great men competed for the title of Mr. International Rubber 2008 and when the votes were counted Brian Turgeon, Mr. Rubber Montreal was sashed as MIR2008! I'm sure there will be a huge celebration this coming weekend when Brian steps down from his former title and helps to select his successor as Mr. Rubber Montreal.

The other four men competing at MIR2008 were Kai of Florida; Duncan of Kansas; Xavier of Paris; and Christopher of Los Angeles.

This year's event was a huge success on many levels. Five great vendors traveled from Beijing, London, Houston, Portland, and of course Chicago, to bring the weekend attendees a plethora of gear and fetish choices. The resounding success of the Chicago Rubbermen Gear Swap and Closet Sale shocked us all, as rubbermen from around the globe swapped and sold their excess rubber gear (is there such a thing?) and many guys walked away with great bargains and gear that is new to them!
