IML aftermath

IML was fantastic again this year. Rubbermade and I worked at both the Priape and MIR booths. It was great having all the people pass by to say hi, and in the case of working at Priape, helping them in and out of the Polymorphe rubber. It was a tough job, (ya, right!), but somebody had to do it.

We got a nice surprise on Friday when we went to work at Priape. There, on one of the pillars, along with huge posters of Bob, M. Cuir Montreal 2008 and Stephane, M. Rubber Montreal 2007, was a huge poster of me! I certainly wasn't expecting that, but was very happy to see it. I want to thank the Priape team for that and also for being such great people to work with. So I had to get a picture of it, with me of course!

The toughest job is actually when you come home from all of the excitment of the weekend and reality hits: We have to clean all of our rubber! Ah, there is nothing like excess! We really need to get ourselves a house boy or a house puppy. Oh right, I guess that that is supposed to be me.

Rubberdawg.com

Friday night at IML was an extremely busy night with too many things to see and do. After socializing at the Chicago Rubbermen's "Greet the Meat", I caught the TAIL end of the Puppy Play Party.

This was my first time activitly participating in a puppy play party. My Rubberdawg hood made it so much more fun. I can hardly wait for my paws. What can I say? I like it RUFF!

:-D

Mr. S Leather

Mr. S Leather is a company not only who makes some great leather gear, but even more exciting, some fantastic rubber gear. Personally, I can say that their hoods give you unbelievable sensations and they are excellent for "taking trips".

The Mr. S Leather staff working at their IML booth this past weekend is a bunch of great guys. Jonathan, the manager, was particularly handsome and sexy, and more importantly, extremely nice.

One of my favourite pieces of gear is a pair of ribbed rubber pants from Mr. S. I was able to purchase the vest that goes with them at the IML market this weekend. If before I would say that I was "ribbed for your pleasure", now I am even more.

Thanx guys! You keep us looking and feeling great.

The Cell Block Chicago

The MIR contest is held at the Cell Block in Chicago. I have to say that the staff was really nice (and sexy) and they made me feel right at home. If I had to give an example of their outstanding hospitality, it would be when I was putting a crazy amount of gear in the coat check. I was embarrassed to bother the man in charge with all of my stuff. There was no room and yet he was able to find some. When excusing myself for all of the trouble, he said for me not to worry about it as "we are family now". This is just one example of how we were treated during our weekend. Thank you guys! You all made us feel at home.

And now a word to our sponsors!

When I won the M. Rubber Montreal 2007 title it was really easy to thank the contest sponsors. I simply visited them.

When I won the MIR2008 title last November, I spoke with the sponsors who were at the contest and thanked them in person, but I have been wondering how I could thank all of the MIR sponsors in a more official way. Then it came to me: the MIR blog.

Over the next few weeks, I will try to focus in on the sponsors that make the MIR contest such a big success.

Yours in rubber,

IML - "Greet the Meat"

The Chicago Rubbermen "Greet the Meat" Party was a huge success. Craig, the main organizer, was very happy with the turnout. It was a nice way to connect with people from all over the globe in a casual setting. Being hard of hearing (auditory processing problems) and with very poor night vision, bars are a tough place for me, and people have to be very patient if they are to have any communication at all with me. All of this to say that Craig did a fantastic job at organizing the evening. RubberWilli was there to offer prizes to lucky rubbermen attending the event.

My friend Denis took a picture of Craig and me. I will try to get a copy so that I can post it with the others.

Rebondissament votre,

Congratulations to Bob Firth-Tessier

Congratulations to our friend Bob Firth-Tessier, IML contestant # 41, for coming in as first runner up in the competition. I can't say enough good things about this guy. Good job Bob, we are very proud of you and proud to have you as our friend. Congratulations also go to our friend Denis Begin, his partner. He was a real trouper during the whole weekend, supporting and encouraging Bob throughout the competition. Eric and I shared the hotel room with them and got to relive the feelings of being in a competition through them throughout the whole weekend. What fun, but also what a huge amount of stress. It is great to be on the other side of the fence.

Bouncily yours in rubber,

IML 2008

Hey! What a great time Eric (Rubbermade) and I had at IML this year! We had tons of fun and met a lot of really nice people.

As soon as I figure out how to insert pictures into the middle of the text, and not just at the beginning, I will elaborate on the highlights of our weekend.

Bouncily yours,

RubberWilli: The man behind MIR

I feel that it is important to thank the people who make our fun times possible. RubberWilli is the man behind MIR; the guy who works relentlessly all year long to put together the MIR weekend. The "Rubber Agenda" is just one thing that RubberWilli does to promote MIR during the year. (Just the name "The Rubber Agenda" brings a smile to my face. I love it!)

It takes a special person to be able to rally sponsors, volunteers and businesses in order to put together an event. RubberWilli does all of this almost effortlessly. (Ok, at the end of MIR last year, I remember that he was toast; exhausted, but with a contented smile on his face after a job well done.) I know that I have no idea of the huge amount of work that goes into planning and orchestrating a weekend like MIR, but I do know what I saw: Hundreds of people having a terrific time. RubberWilli humbly says that he does it all for himself. Well, even if this is so, which I don't believe, we all certainly enjoy the ride. Be sure to tell him how much you enjoy yourself at his events so that he will continue to "selfishly" organize them.

Bouncily yours,
BJ

Event organizers

Yes, I know, I am late with my comments, but life races on and I just have to catch up when I have the chance.

For some time now, I have wanted to thank Mitch again for Rubbout and have wanted also to highlight to everyone who reads my blog how much work goes into organizing a weekend of activities.

With the Legende Urbaine, our fetish club here in Montreal, we organize club nights: events that last just one evening. The hours of time needed for the organization of resources is incredible, and this, just for one evening of fun. Mitch organizes a whole weekend of fun rubber activities. Be sure to thank him for all of his work the next time you see him. He is a very dedicated rubberman and a good puppy!

I am proud to say that, after my top whipping performance at the Strict Rubber Dress Code Party at IML, (that he found quite entertaining and motivational :-) ), I was able to bring out the Top flogger in Mitch. Try him, you will enjoy yourself!

Bouncily yours,

Rubbout 17

Howdy all,

Sorry for taking so long to post about my trip to Vancouver's 17th annual Rubbout. I have been busy building a flying saucer.

Friday night at PumpJack's Pub was a great kickoff to the weekend. I met and chatted with tons of really nice guys. The atmosphere was sexy and guys were checking each other out, getting ready for the weekend's events.

The fun continued later that evening at Numbers, where the bar was packed with hot, very friendly men in rubber. The pool table housed a vac-rack and Mitch did his magic to a victim with a vibrator It wasn’t the last time that we would see that! The evening continued at Friction where a play party lasted into the night. Many played at the various play stations in the sauna. The stocks were well used and several men took a swim in the J-Lube pool. Bleu will never be the same after his jaunt in the pool. My evening was especially memorable as I got leied, Hawaiian style.

I got a taste of the cube the following day at PumpJack's Pub. Mitch was very kind, ensuring that no ice was around when I went in it. It is a great experience for anyone into bondage. What a feeling! Mitch had his vibrator again. Push as I may, that vibrator wasn't going in anywhere! I was very lucky to have the experience. The rubber ripped a little while after. I hope that Mitch was able to repair it. Those cubes, while being a lot of fun, are quite expensive.

Saturday evening, there was a party at the Davie's Café. The place was packed and the people, friendly and fun. There was a lot to see and do. Jimmy, the sexy barber, was there to trim those needing trimming. Michael, Mr West Coast Rubber 2006 and Bleu, his pup, did a cool balloon demonstration. I had had an experience with a friend that ended in the balloon popping before my friend could be completely put in. It was great to see how it all worked and especially to see how to do it securely. The music was great and Bar Piersdorff, a great guy and a fantastic photographer was there to capture the energy and all of the activities on film.

I had an excellent time at Rubbout. The activities were well-planned and seemed to go on without a hitch. Shuttles were convenient and the venues were well equipped. Thank you and congratulations to Mitch, Don and the other organizers.
