Greetings!
Hard to believe it has been 2 months since rubbermen from around the world invaded Chicago for the ninth annual Mr. International Rubber Blowout Weekend and Contest.
Michael Schneider of Germany named MIR2006
Michael Schneider, the former Mr. RubClub 2005, was selected by our panel of judges as Mister International Rubber 2006. Michael was one of four contestants who competed for the title this year.
First Runner-up was Alan Stroik of Redlands, California, United States. Alan is the current Mr. West Coast Rubber 2006 and Gauntlet II Rubberman.
Other Contestants included:
"Heindorf" of Chicago, Illinois, United States; and
"Aqualaboy" of Seaside, Texas, United States.
Plans are already underway for the Tenth Anniversary Edition of Mr. International Rubber and Rubber Blowout Weekend. MIR2007 info will be posted at MIRubber.com in May of 2006, but be sure to visit the website throughout the year for updates on Michael's travels and activities.

Michael gets to work as MIR2006
Michael wasted no time in getting to work as MIR2006, returning to Germany and assisting in the selection of his successor, Mr. RubClub 2006. Christian Hilleprandt of Cologne, Germany competed against 4 other candidates and was selected by audience members as the lucky winner.
In the picture at right you see (left to right) Michael Schneider (Mister International Rubber 2006), Frank Bug (Mister International Rubber 2005), hidden behind Christian is David Farrell (Mister Fullrubber 2005), emcee for the evening, Mother Piccholetta Innocentia from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and finally Holger (President of RubClub.)
Michael is keeping busy and along with Mr. Fullrubber David Farrell has announced dates for the 2nd annual Mannheim Rubber Pride, June 1-4, 2006. Frank Bug was instrumental in creating this new rubbery weekend in Germany, and it will no doubt be a smashing success again this year.
BREAKING NEWS - Mr. Rubber France 2006 Contest Announced!
On Saturday March 25, 2006, Mecs En Caoutchouc, the only rubber association in France will host the first Mr. Rubber France Contest at the Full Metal Bar in Paris.
This contest has been rumored for years and now seems to have reached fruition. Knowing the guys from M.E.C. you can expect a hot contest and a good time!
Yannick Kerjose claimed the title of MIR2002 for the French a few years ago. It seems as though the international competition for MIR is heating up already!
