Reminder: Take the MIR Survey
Just a reminder that if you haven't taken the MIR survey yet, please take a few minutes to tell us what you think. The survey will be online until June 5 to accomodate everyone who is traveling and resting up from a very rubbery IML.
Over 50 people have already responded, but we want to know what YOU think! It's quick and easy.
MIR2007: The Tenth Edition
On Saturday night May 28, MIR2006 Michael Schneider hosted the annual Rubber Bar Night at the Cell Block Chicago during International Mister Leather weekend. There was a nice (and boisterous) gathering of rubbery guys in the crowd.
Weekend Coordinator for MIR, William "Rubberwilli" Schendel announced some of the preliminary plans for MIR2007 (which are also listed here for those of you who were unable to attend.) These plans have been influenced by both the online survey and individual discussions that have taken place over the past few years.
Also unveiled this weekend was the new poster and advertising for MIR2007. (See the image to the left.) This year's image, as are all our official MIR photos, was taken by Ron Volanti Jr. of RVJ Studios Inc. with graphic design by Jackie Weinberg of Supergurl Images. Special thanks as well to our new posterboys.
In the next few weeks, the website for Mr. International Rubber will be making the transition to it's new look for this year's events, with timely updates as plans are finalized. As always, you will be informed of major developments through this email list.
MIR Hotels Announced
The Best Western Hawthorne Terrace
We are pleased to announce that The Best Western Hawthorne Terrace is our primary hotel again this year. In response to numerous requests and responses to our MIR Survey we have attempted to reserve the entire hotel strictly for Mr. International Rubber Attendees.
However, in the end it's up to each of you to make that happen! So for everyone who wants an entire hotel full of rubbery guys, MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW! Let's book the hotel fast.
As always, reservations must be made by phone to 1-888-860-3400. You must ask for the Mr. International Rubber group rates to get our discounted prices. You cannot get the MIR rate via the website. You must call the hotel direct.
Days Inn Lincoln Park
For our second hotel this year we have selected the Days Inn Lincoln Park North. This is a larger hotel, but is a bit further from the planned venues for this years events.
Again, to reserve a room under the Mr. International Group rate, you must call the hotel directly, toll-free at 1-888-576-3297 and request the Mr. International Rubber block of rooms.
Save the Date - MIR2007
MIR2007, The Tenth Anniversary Edition, will be held November 10-12, 2006. Information about the weekend packages, events, and venues will be coming soon.
