MIR2007 Just Days Away!
Mr. International Rubber 2007 kicks-off this Friday, November 10, 2006!
Be sure to check the schedule of events for the weekend and plan accordingly. Several events are planned for Friday afternoon including the first day of the vendors market.
Pre-purchased weekend packages can be picked up at the Cell Block Chicago beginning at Noon on Friday. Weekend packages will be available for purchase on-site, cash or check only. Individual tickets will be available for purchase to select events.
Emcee Announced
We're pleased to announce our emcee for MIR2007, Eddie Hibbs. Eddie lives in Los Angeles where he is very involved in the L.A. GLBT and Fetish community.
Eddie is very proud of his community involvement, including his work with the Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as Sister Erotica Psychotica, the Avant Guardian of the Nasty Habit.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is the leading-edge world-wide Order of queer nuns. Since their first appearance in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979, the sisters have devoted themselves to community service, ministry and outreach to those on the edges, and to promoting human rights, respect for diversity, and spiritual enlightenment.
Unlike more traditional nuns, the Sisters are an Order of many faiths, religions and beliefs. However they are all united by the vows that each one takes: to promulgate universal joy, expiate stigmatic guilt and serve the community, fellow Sisters and the Order of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
We are very pleased that Eddie has accepted our invitiation and honored that the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be involved with MIR2007. We know that you will enjoy Eddie's antics and talents.

Demos and Discussions Announced
We are pleased to announce two additional events for the weekend, one demo and one discussion.
First up on Friday night after the opening ceremonies, the guys of SlickCo will be providing demonstrations of their new three-dimensional vac racs. They made their debut at West Coast Rubber and took the vendors market by storm. Now they come to MIR to share the newest in rubbery bondage technology with you! You won't want to miss this!
Then on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm, the Chicago Leather Kennel Club (CLKC) will lead a discussion "Behind Closed Doors: The Contestant Interview." Have you ever wondered what goes on when the contestants and judges meet in private? Now is your chance to see what's happening "Behind Closed Doors."
