Maurizio is MIR2007!
Congratulations to Maurizio Iaacone from Milano, Italy! Mr. Rubber Italia 2006 is now Mr. International Rubber 2007! Other contestants included: 1st runner-up, Eric of Paris, France; 2nd runner-up Frank of Montreal, Canada; as well as Michael from San Francisco, USA and Dan from Chicago, USA.
MIR2007 is now in the history books but the memories will be talked about for weeks, months and years beyond. Five excellent contestants representing Italy, France, Canada and the United States; a new Emcee for the weekend; the first year of online registration; brunch returning to a restaurant; a vibrant vendors market; and an energetic and sexy crowd of men in rubber for the entire weekend. A great time was had by all!
Maurizio is already traveling around the world having celebrated his victory with Leather Club Roma, his sponsor, at their Annual Catacombs Party in December.

MIR2007 Survey Is Online
Now that MIR2007 is finished, we want to know what you think of the weekend and the changes that we made for this year.
Once again this year we have created an online survey so that we can evaluate this year's event and so that you can tell us your thoughts. We ask that if you attended MIR2007 that you take just a few minutes to complete the survey.
MIR: A History - Part II
Just prior to MIR2007, and in celebration of our Tenth Anniversary, we posted part one of Tim Brough's History of Mr. International Rubber.
At MIR2007 Tim was able to conduct additional interviews with the creators of Mr. International Rubber, additional past winners and the current owner of MIR. Shortly afterwards he sent me a revised and complete version of his history of MIR integrating more stories and anecdotes and bringing it through to the present time.
We're pleased to present Tim's complete history now online for you. We hope you'll enjoy learning a little more about the contest that we all love.
Mr. RubClub 2007 Selected
On December 9, 2006 Chris Petry of Trier, Germany was selected as the fourth Mr. RubClub representing the German rubber club. Chris is a print master by day as well as a sports and rubber fan.
The Mr. Rubclub election was held in MS Connexion in Mannheim with a large crowd in attendance. Second was Sergie from Moscow and Third was Carsten from Berlin.
