MIR Invades Folsom Europe!
Mr. International Rubber will be at Folsom Europe in Berlin on Saturday September 1, 2007!
Folsom Europe is the younger brother of the Up your Alley and Folsom Street Fair events in San Francisco and is the only European Leather/Fetish Street festival in existance. Centered in the heart of Berlin's thriving Schoeneberg leather area, Folsom Europe has rapidly established it's place in the international event schedule.
This year Folsom Europe celebrates it's fourth year and Mr. International Rubber will be one of many vendors represented! In addition to helping raise funds for worthwhile causes in Berlin, MIR at Folsom Europe gives an even greater presence and support to the past few years of MIR's who have represented the title in Europe so well. Now the European community will see that Mr. International Rubber is not just a single guy in a rubber sash, but a fetish weekend built for rubbermen from around the globe!
Devoted rubberists and curious fetishists from all of Europe can stop by the booth to ask questions, make travel plans and see what all the excitement is all about! We are still finalizing details, but we are hopeful that Maurizio and several of our previous winners will be on hand to meat (?) and greet the crowds.
So if you will be in Berlin for Folsom Europe, stop by the booth and say hello! We'll be the shiny sweaty ones under the Mr. International Rubber banner!
MIR2008 Judges Announced!
We've pulled together a perverted panel of judges for this year's contest - we mean perverted in the best possible sense of the word - and we'd like to introduce them to you!

MIR Announces Educational Partnership With The Center on Halsted!
Each year we have tried to find ways to grow Mr. International Rubber into a Rubber "Blowout" Weekend of events for attendees from around the globe.
Last year we moved the contest itself to a new 20,000 square foot venue and the response from weekend attendees was phenominal!
This year we are proud to add The Center on Halsted as our educational partner and the latest example of the growth of MIR!
The Center on Halsted is Chicago's brand new 55,000 square foot Cultural Center for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community and is located just south of the Chicago Cell Block and directly across the street from Circuit, our contest venue. The Center opened it's doors in April of this year after 6 years of planning, construction and fundraising.
November 10, 2007 Mr. International Rubber and The Center on Halsted will provide a series of educational programs for people interested in rubber and related fetishes. We're very proud to be associated with the Center on Halsted and to be bringing new educational opportunities to the our newest community partner!

Days Inn Room Block Closing September 9, 2007
Time is running out to reserve your room at the Days Inn Lincoln Park North, our secondary hotel for MIR.
At midnight on September 9, any rooms that are not reserved from the block will be returned to the general public, and will most likely be taken very quickly as this hotel is centrally located to many tourist attractions in Chicago, including Lincoln Park Zoo, the Chicago History Museum, and the Notebart Nature Museum.
If you haven't made your reservations yet, now is the time to do it! Once this block of rooms is gone you will be on your own to find rooms in and around Chicago, which can be difficult an expensive.

Dontay is Mr. Midwest Rubber!
On July 21, 2007 Dontay Thrasher was selected as the second Mr. Midwest Rubber in a contest held at Touche in Chicago.
Dontay hails from Chicago and is a professional in the hospitality industry. He is 29 years old and a member of the Chicago Rubbermen.
Dontay will represent the Mr. Midwest Rubber contest at MIR2008 this coming November.

Andreas is Mr. RubBear 2007!
RubClub has done it again, with a new contest celebrating the Rubber Bear! (Any coincidence that the Berlin coat of arms features a bear?)
On Saturday August 11, four men competed for the inaugural title and Andreas of Mannheim was awarded the golden sash!
Our congratulations to Andreas on his win and to RubClub on another successful contest weekend!
West Coast Rubber Weekend
West Coast Rubber weekend is just days away...will you be there? Time to gather your rubber gear and head to Palm Springs from August 31 - September 3, 2007!
This weekend continues to grow larger and larger, and this year they move the contest to an air conditioned venue, the Oasis Club. They've added a new event, the "Dark Piggy Play Party" ...OINK!....and the return of the ever popular Wet Willie Pool Party and so much more!
We heard rumors that a few rooms had opened up at the clothing optional host hotel as well. Check out the website for full details on the wqeekend and purchase your tickets online as well!
West Coast Rubber is an official MIR preliminary event.
Maurizio on the Move!
Maurizio continues his trek around the globe representing Mr. International Rubber and the Rubber Fetish community. Here you see Maurizio and his partner Simone with one of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at the ECMC Bike Rub in Rome!
Next up for Maurizio is Folsom Europe. Stop by the MIR booth at Folsom Europe to say hello and meet him in person, if you haven't already!
Later this year Maurizio invades Sweden as part of the European Confederation of Motorcycle Clubs Annual General Meeting and the Mr. Leather Europe Contest.
