Adalberto (he/him, she/her) was born in Italy and explored his kinky interests after he moved to The Netherlands after the studies. First for about ten years in the leather scene, until he embraces latex around 2017 and jumped deep into the rubber scene.
He became Mr Rubber Netherlands 2019 and won the Mr International 23 title in November 2019 in the largest competition to date with 16 contestants. What a fun weekend MIR23 was! Adalberto served some “gender-bending rubber eleganza” on stage with his Billy Porter inspired gown and heels, and he included some vogueing in his performance on stage, as a tribute to the ballroom communities and their radical inclusiveness.
Adalberto loves the sexy feel, look and smell of tight shiny rubber as much as the good vibes of our communities: the warmth and support, the relaxed attitude, the colours, the diversity of rubber styles: from skinhead to gimp, from uniforms to rubber dolls, and so many more! And the fun we can create together. He mostly flags red, blue and light blue, but he is open to more shades of the hanky rainbow.
He has been a driving force in establishing rubber social events in Amsterdam and Rotterdam: safe spaces for rubbermen to meet (and a good excuse to buy more rubber…). As well as bringing latex to the some non-fetish bars and venues. Talking body positivity and emancipation, he supports the NoMoreC project for HepC prevention (check www.nomorec.nl for some easy tips!), and helped establishing the Miss Rubber Netherlands title: the only Miss Rubber title in Europe at the moment, with the first election to be held in spring of 2021.
Upon the cancellation of all our physical events during the COVID-19 pandemic, Adalberto promoted online rubber social events as a way to keep social togetherness in times of physical distancing. He proactively shared tips and tricks with other communities worldwide, which resulted in a large number of fun and well-attended online events, including pub quizzes and online gaming.
In May 2020, he started a project of empowerment of kinky men on the topics of sexual consent and healthy boundaries as tools for a healthy sexual life and to prevent potential abuse situations.
Out of rubber, Adalberto is a DNA scientist, BodyPump instructor and a ballroom enthusiast.
His motto: keep shining!
Joe “Chicago Rubber” (They/Them, He/Him) is a Chicagoan who first started exploring their kinky side in 2016 when they tried on their first piece of latex. It was a fetish that Joe didn’t think they’d be into at first, but they were instantly attracted to the way rubber felt and looked. It was love at first lube, and since then they’ve become increasingly involved with their local rubber club (Chicago Rubber Club).
Joe is passionate about building community, and currently sits on the leadership committee for the Chicago Rubber Club. Joe helped coordinate and implement the re-branding from Chicago Rubbermen to Chicago Rubber Club to be more inclusive of all their members.
Joe believes that the future of the rubber community is one that’s radically inclusive of kinky queers of all types.
Check out their website for more information on their travel, or resources to help your club become more inclusive. www.mirubber25.com
Outside of the fetish community Joe loves architecture, history, and travel.
Alex Coco is a passionate guy about gear fetish, especially rubber: from thin & shinny to industrial & heavy. He is an active member of the rubber community in Europe. He has been working on increasing the presence of rubber in his local fetish community. Board of Barcelona Rubber, since 2016 is involved on producing the Barcelona Rubber Weekend and the Rubber Spain Contest. He is a member of the Mr Rubber Europe comitée.

John Doan is a Leatherman who honors the traditions of history, as well as embraces our evolving leather culture. He started his journey as a Leatherman about fourteen years ago. The journey began with a partner from D.C, before moving back to Houston Texas. He helped found the Houston Warriors in 2013 and served as Vice President in 2014 until his move to Atlanta, Georgia. This choice has led to many lasting friendships and co-conspirators in living his life in leather. John took an active participation in Houston Council of Club’s (HCC) trade mark event “Let Us Entertain You” (LUEY) 2014 celebrating their 42nd year. In 2014, John’s career took him to the Atlanta community, where he pledged and became a member of the Atlanta Panthers Leather/Levi club. His pledge project benefitted American Veterans for Equal Rights (AVER), assisting LGBT veterans who were dishonorably discharged do to Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) by reversing the charges, as well as, having public relations representative for those currently serving.
After the passing of his club brother and friend, International Leather Sir 2011 and President of the Panthers, Alan Penrod, he felt the need to step up his presence. Taking initiative, he took on oversight of the Panther Bar Nights, Halloween weekend in 2016 - 2017, and provided counsel in 2018. John also took on the responsibility of the Leather Float for the Panthers in the Atlanta Pride parade 2016, taking third place among nonprofits for best float. This was the highest they had ever placed. In 2016, he was honored with the Panther of the Year Award, voted on by the full members. He has held offices in the Panthers including Treasurer in 2016 and the Vice President in 2017, taking responsibility for the Panther’s 30th Anniversary celebration.
John has participated in other fundraising events such as Leather & Lace in 2017 through 2019, which helped to boost the funds for organizations such as Lost and Found, helping shelter homeless LGBTQ youth, and Sharon Saint Cyr Fund that assists those who are deaf in accessing hearing aids and interpreters. John personally donated paintings raising money both years for their auctions, coupling that with live singing performances. He enjoys attending both national and international events throughout the year, such as ILSb/ICBB.
Sir John enjoys teaching workshops on BDSM 101, spanking, and nipple play. He served on the People of Color (POC) panel discussion held at ILSb/ICBB 2018, in Dallas, Texas. His personal BDSM tastes are in impact play, spanking, flogging, whipping, paddling, caning, and fisting.
He has previously been the guardian of his former ward, boy adam, as well as a boy in training, boy rick, who was new to being openly gay and to Leather/BDSM/kink. He has personally collared two boys over his time as a Dominant, boy randy and boy michael, who have been released.
Sir John firmly believes that being a decent person in Leather or vanilla life is about making honest impressions and connections. He is a strong believer that he chose the right path for himself by embracing the leather culture and he believes his lifestyle choice saved him. John found prejudice and racism within the overall gay community, however did not see it as prevalent in the Leather community creating a healthier environment for him and those he cares for to thrive. John enjoys the diversity and relationship styles within the D/s lifestyle and believes that the play, sex, relationships, and connections have created an energizing life for him and he attributes that to Leather.
Currently, he is the President of National Leather Association-International (NLA-I). He is confident that his years of good communications with past projects, club members, and community leaders has helped give way to success between the younger and newer members of the Leather community. Like the founder of NLA-I, Steve Maidhof, John believes the NLA-I should be a network of members that are able to access each other wherever they are, lending to friendships, play, guidance, and protection. It is important to him that every Leather person feel they are connected to each other. Having been part of the leadership in a MC club of similar age like the Panthers, he understands how important heritage is to NLA-I and to its membership. John is, currently, on his last term for his presidency. The Living in Leather annual event, celebrating erotic/Leather/BDSM/kink writers, artists, and activists has gone virtual. This helped many members and community members to attend and participate. John has paired other events in his local community and Leather, allowing exposure and conversations. He has instilled a fresh energy into the NLA-I Executive Board and its direction with the above passions and ideas. He feels that every Leather person should be part of NLA-I and wants to focus on creating projects to attract new membership. As his last term with NLA-I wraps up, there will be more to come!
Pepper is co-owner and business manager of Eagle Leather, a BDSM, Leather and Latex store that has been servicing the Australian fetish community for the last 28 years. Pepper has been heavily involved in the BDSM scene since the impressionable age of 20, starting out her fetish career as a bottom at Eagle Leather's seminars and workshops for several years as well as orchestrating BDSM classes all around Australia alongside Sado BJ. These days Pepper pokes her fingers in a lot of pies, from admin to marketing to team leadership; and you’ll often see her in store elbow deep in a bucket of Lux as she polishes another shipment of latex bound for Eagle Leather's extensive Rubber Room.
As the cheekier half of the kinky duo Sado Pop, Pepper performed some seriously messy (and messed up) performances down under, featuring everything from sex crazed clowns to latex-clad aliens. A hallmark of Sado Pop performances became a guessing game of which unexpected liquid might shoot out of what unexpected hole. Sado Pop fans soon learned not to sit in the front row at her shows, unless they wanted a shower.
Pepper is also the co-creator of Eagle Leather's inclusive fetish techno event FANTASTIC, an anything goes party that is renowned for being extremely wild and immersive, and featuring some of the world's best DJs and most groundbreaking performers.
Pepper has been lucky enough to judge several contests around the globe, including the Melbourne Rubberman contest, Mr and Ms Adelaide Leather Contests, and the Bay Area Rubber Title Elections. As a latex fiend, being invited to judge MIR, the most prestigious of all rubber contests, is truly the honour of a lifetime for her.
In her personal life, Pepper is extremely open minded and lives by the phrase "Do Whatever Feels Good". She identifies as a hedonist and a switch, into big toys, strap ons, high heels, age play, piss, fisting, squirting, spanking, canes, leather, cuckold, bondage, discipline, D/s, electro, chastity, degradation, pay pigs, anything that deviates into territory that is a little bit quirky and obscene and - of course - especially LATEX.
