KinkEd : Safety is Sexy - An Introduction to RACKWiki

Did you know not to mix Viagra and poppers? Or that your hands will clench if you lose consciousness from nitrous-induced hypoxia? There is so much to know, and it can be hard to find reliable information. RACKWiki is a community resource with the goal of reducing kink incidents by documenting and sharing knowledge. Come meet the volunteers running the project and learn how you can help make us all safer.

This class will focus on how to set up, execute and wind down a scene - for example - transitioning headspaces, bringing subs out of that headspace, communication during a scene, and aftercare styles.

KinkEd Class - Bump n Grind Basics - Intro to Burlesque Movement

Course Description: Learn the foundational skills you need to become the shimmyshaking superstar of your sparkliest fantasies! In this entry-level movement class, Chicago burlesque powerhouse Willy LaQueue will guide you through some of the history and movement styles of the Art of the Tease before diving into teaching you some bespoke burlesque choreography that you can take to the stage (or to your living room, whichever you prefer). Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident!

MIR continues to support a kink event environment that acknowledges the specific and unique challenges faced by People of Color, and makes space for coming together. The 8th People of Color Meet-Up at MIR provides a chance for all POC participating in MIR weekend to meet, network with people sharing these challenges and experiences in an open and encouraging environment.

The 5th Annual Asian Rubberists Meet-up

Those in the kink community who are of Asian heritage face unique barriers and challenges due to racist abuse, harassment, hate crimes, and violence in queer and kink spaces and in society, rooted in the historic and systemic dehumanization of those of Asian descent. The Asian Rubberists Meetup is a breakout summit from the annual Rubberists of Color Meetup and welcomes those of all Asian heritages into a safe and intentional space for discussion, networking, and reflection about both Asian and wider POC issues.
