MIR Contest, NPO
External Events Policy
Adopted: January 23, 2023
At its January 23, 2023 meeting, the Board of Directors of MIR Contest adopted a policy regarding events hosted by MIR Contest in partnership with other organizations outside of the MIR weekend. These events include, but are not limited to, Rubber Meet and Greets, Press Conferences, Judges Announcements, and social events.
MIR Contest will only host events in partnership with other sponsoring organizations during those sponsoring organizations’ events if the sponsoring organization complies with the following requirements, intended to ensure the ongoing safety of all event attendees and event organizers:
- A Code of Conduct must be posted to the sponsoring organization’s website, be prominently displayed on-site at the sponsoring organization’s event, and be readily available for attendees to review throughout the year.
- The Code of Conduct must include instructions for how to report violations to the sponsoring organization or other authorities.
- The Code of Conduct must outline an enforcement mechanism that includes consequences for violations outlined.
MIR Contest will engage in dialogue with existing partners regarding this policy, and will provide guidance and assistance to existing and/or future partners on the process of adopting a Code of Conduct, reporting, and enforcement mechanism.
The MIR Contest Code of Conduct is available for review at mirubber.com/about/code-of-conduct, and includes an anonymous reporting form to share concerns about unacceptable behavior.
