MIR Logo, Posters or Promotional Images
MIR Logos, Posters, and Promotional Images may not be used for any purpose without explicit permission. These images may not be used by persons who are not MIR staff or on products, publications or web pages that are not MIR sponsored or approved. These images may not be used to imply endorsement or support of any external organization, program, effort, or persons.
MIR Logo, Posters, Promotional Items or Name should not be used as branding devices, or used in or for advertising, trade dress, promotions, or similar marketing purposes, on third-party websites or communications material.
News outlets may use MIR content without needing explicit permission, subject to compliance with these guidelines. MIR content used in a factual manner that does not imply endorsement may be used without needing explicit permission. MIR should be acknowledged as the source of the material. MIR occasionally uses copyright-protected material of third parties with permission on its website. Those images will be marked as copyright protected with the name of the copyright holder. MIR's use does not convey any rights to others to use the same material. Those wishing to use copyright protected material of third parties must contact the copyright holder directly.
MIR has extensive image and video galleries online, including historic images, current images, event photos and video, as well as photos of attendees, staff, contestants and others. Individuals may use our watermarked gallery images - in which they appear - for their personal non-commercial use. Watermarks may not be removed or cropped from photos. If an MIR image includes an identifiable person, using the image for individual or commercial purposes may infringe that person's right of privacy or publicity, and permission should be obtained from the person.
Commercials and promotional content cannot be filmed during MIR events, without express permission granted at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
Linking to MIR Website
The MIR website may be linked to from other websites, including individuals' personal websites, without explicit permission from MIR. However, such links may not explicitly or implicitly convey MIR's endorsement of commercial goods or services. MIR images may be used as graphic "hot links" to MIR’s website, provided they are used within the guidelines above. MIR should be acknowledged as the source of the material.
